2008 Saturn Vue Hybrid

Anyone towing one? If so, have you experienced any issues? I had a 2005 Saturn AWD V6 previously with no issues being towed about 40K. Having base plates installed at Alpin Haus RV in Clifton Park, NY, any known issues with their workmanship?
Thanks

Not a place to take an RV. Get a campsite and enjoy yourself.

RE: Camp gound memberships

I have Thousand Trails, Outdoor World and Mid Atlantic memberships, all under the ELS umbrella. Through Thousand Trails we have an affiliate membership in ROD. I also have RPI privileges through a single membership park in New York State. Iam also allowed to use some parks in the Encore system, through our memberships in the ELS system.
With so many parks to use without any further out lay of fees other than the yearly dues, we only return to the best parks of the lot. We have dropped C2C and Passport America. We travel all year and rarely use any other parks outside our memberships.
I do like the security features of the membership parks and know what to expect and who to consult with if I need an answer or have a complaint that needs attention. I will be the first to agree that memberships are not for everyone. We could not be happier, unless the cost of fuel was less.

RE: Sleep number bed install in Class A

I installed the Sleep Number 5000 house model. No problems except drilling two holes for the hoses. The pump is installed in the area below the bed. Very pleased.

RE: Comments on 1000 Trails, Forest Lake NC

When I was there about six weeks ago, the local seasonal campers bring their golf carts to race. This caused dust and noise into the early morning hours. As another poster stated most sites are very uneven. Tarheel BBQ less than an mile from the preserve entrance, serves a tasty meal.

One thing for sure, if you have a pet, you will be assigned the pet loop.

RE: Sewer Solution

I purchased an extra length of sewer solution hose,to use when necessary. It rolls up small for less space.

Sharp Carousel microwave, smart and easy model

The microwave shuts off after 59 seconds of operation. Has anyone else experienced this malfunction? If so what was the fix? This is in a 05 Mandalay.

RE: Where's the MHs?

Edwardo,
Be honest, you came south for the warm weather during the winter, cost of fuel probably was not an issue. I would not stay in Canada in the winter either. I'm either in Florida or Texas RGV each winter. Our northern states weather is not that much different from Canada during the summer months so no need to enter Canada to escape the heat, especially with the added cost of fuel. I thought the summer months in Nova Scotia in 05 were down right chilly.

RE: Water Cooler on the road

I have seen two quart size water coolers that sit on the counter and use 120 VAC. They also have internal replaceable filters. They look like Early American or Italian pottery with a metal faucet style dispenser on the side and a lid like the old crocks with similar shape.

RE: Best GPS for full-timing is?

If you are an amateur radio operator, there are a few transceivers that have a tnc installed in them that will allow them to be connected to a computer and a gps which will transmit your location every few minutes to a website which can be viewed by others.

RE: Portable Gas Grill

The Weber Baby Q for the reasons the other users have listed. I do remove the grill and clean it regularly as the drippings build up on the angled sides. After each use, line the removable drip pan with foil (throw it away after use), scrape the grill, apply a little cooking oil to the warm grill and you are ready for the next time. Do purchase the wheeled protective cover as it is real easy to slide back in the storage bay.

Good luck. Traveled through Seattle last September and I could have walked fastster. Never did see what the hold up was. Just stay aware of the short lane turners and enjoy the views.

RE: RV Park in Atlanta

I had that problem last month. Ended up at the Cartersville KOA. A bit north of the city but clean and easy in and out, as it is right at the exit. I would stay there again when in the vicinity. The only negative is the price is steep for service received.
